Personalised print gift ideas for birthdays, weddings, and new homes

A personalised print works because it feels specific. It can mark a place, a person, a shared memory, or a setup someone uses every day. The best gift is not always the loudest design; it is the one that feels chosen for that person.

For birthdays

Use a favourite photo, a stylised portrait, a pet image, or artwork connected to a hobby. A print is easy to size to the room the person actually has: A5 and A4 for a shelf or a desk wall, A3 above a chest of drawers, A2 for a wall of their own.

For weddings and anniversaries

Choose a clean photo, venue illustration, date-based design, or meaningful location. Keep typography simple and give the design enough empty space so it feels timeless instead of overly decorative.

For new homes

Wall art is a strong housewarming gift when it matches the room. Soft botanical prints, abstract pieces, and travel-inspired images work well because they can fit many interiors without feeling too personal.

For gamers and desk setups

Desk mats are made in our Pakistan studio and are not sold in the UK, so a print is the better gift for a setup here. Wide artwork, maps, game-inspired abstract patterns and clean monochrome designs all work above a monitor or on the wall beside a desk.

Choose A3 for the wall behind a monitor, or A2 where there is a wider run of wall. Avoid tiny text near the edge: it is the first thing to disappear once a design is cropped to the print size.

Before you upload

Use the largest image file you have. Avoid screenshots from messaging apps when possible, and keep faces or important details away from the edge. If the file looks risky, Lasting Details checks the artwork before production.

When in doubt, choose a simple design with one emotional detail. That usually feels more premium than trying to include every memory in one print.

Ordering from the UK

The UK range is unframed matte paper prints on 200gsm fine art paper, supplied without a mount or hanger, plus assembled Classic framed prints in A4, A3 and A2. Metal posters and desk mats are made in our Pakistan studio and are not sold in the UK.

Prints are A-series: A4 is 21 x 29.7 cm, A3 is 29.7 x 42 cm and A2 is 42 x 59.4 cm. Classic frames use the same sizes.

Prints are made to order and delivered in 5–10 business days. Delivery costs £5.95, or is free on orders of £55 and above. Pay by credit or debit card. Prices are in pounds.

Fixed-design prints can be cancelled for any reason within 14 days of delivery. Custom prints made from your own image cannot be cancelled. If an order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, tell us within 30 days and we will replace or refund it.
